A review request email works when it arrives soon after a real experience, fits on a phone screen, and ends on one Google review link. It fails when it asks for five stars, promises a gift, or goes only to guests who already said they were happy.

Copy the templates below and replace the brackets. In-person scripts and sign copy are in how to ask customers to review you on Google. The rules behind every line are in the ethical review generation checklist.

Rules Every Template Has to Follow

Send the same email to every eligible customer, not only the happier group, and send it within a day of the visit, stay, or appointment. Use the review link from your own Google Business Profile so it opens the right listing, invite an honest account, and do not mention a star count, a gift, a discount, or a staff name. Review Revolution sends this as an email rating request after the visit. The product does not send WhatsApp or SMS. If a guest has already opened a chat with you, staff may paste the same link into that chat. One follow-up is the limit; see how often to ask for Google reviews.

Template: Short Note After Any Visit

Use this after any completed visit when you do not need a more specific version. Subject: How was your visit at [Business]? Hi [First name], thank you for coming in today. If you have a moment, an honest Google review helps other people in [city] decide, and it helps us improve. You can share it here: [review link]. Thank you, [Your name], [Business].

Template: Hotel, Villa, or Resort Checkout

Subject: Thank you for staying at [Property] Hi [First name], we hope your stay in [room or villa name] went well. Guests often read recent Google reviews before they book a [villa / hotel] in [area]. If you are willing, an honest account of your stay helps them and helps our team: [review link]. If something fell short, you can also reply to this email and we will follow up. [Guest relations name], [Property]. Villas should pair this email with the on-site ask in villa and resort review strategy.

Template: Restaurant, Appointment, and the One Follow-Up

Restaurant, the same evening. Subject: Thank you for dining with us. Body: Hi [First name], thank you for coming to [Restaurant] tonight. A short, honest Google review helps neighbours decide where to eat: [review link]. Thank you, [Manager name]. Appointment, for a clinic, salon, or gym session. Subject: How was your [service] today? Body: Hi [First name], thank you for coming in for [service] today. If you have a moment, an honest Google review helps other people choose with more confidence: [review link]. Thank you, [Business]. Do not include clinical details, a diagnosis, or a photo of the guest. One follow-up, about five to seven days later, and only if there was no click. Subject: A short follow-up from [Business]. Body: Hi [First name], last week we sent a note in case you wanted to share an honest Google review of your visit: [review link]. No need to reply if you would rather not write one. This is the last email about it. [Your name]. Turn the first send on through Google review automation so it does not depend on someone remembering.

    Lines That Get Reviews Removed

Delete these lines, even when templates online still use them: "Give us 5 stars and get 10% off." "Only if you loved us, tell Google." "Name [staff name] so they win a prize." "Only happy customers may use this link." Those lines are an incentive or a selective ask. Google's policies treat incentivised reviews as fake and misleading content, and a pattern of asking only happy guests is review gating. Keep private recovery for operations, and leave the public link available, the way a review funnel does.

The useful email is short, specific, and the same for every guest who was actually there.

Send One Honest Email, Then Stop

Review Revolution sends one email rating request after a visit and pairs it with QR codes for guests who are still on site. Read the ethical review generation checklist before you turn sending on.
